Into the Unknown
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure” — Marianne Williamson
This quote comes from Marianne’s Williamson’s poem “Our Deepest Fear” and I have it posted to my refrigerator door. I read it everyday as a reminder that I am ready to look fear in the face and step into my fullest potential even though I have no idea what that will look like. I don’t know if my son will reintegrate into the family unit after his year and a half in treatment, I don’t know which graduates I’ll stay in touch with as the class of 2022 spreads its wings to fly into their unknown, I don’t know when I’ll find love again and if I’ll have a partner to journey through life with again, I don’t know how I’m going to manifest the extra income that I desire to live my life to it’s fullest abundance. Heck, I don’t even know if I’ll be going to the outdoor Lord Huron concert tonight because another storm is blowing through Boise. All I know is that I’m at a crossroads and my soul is ready to create something new, and I’m inviting anyone else who is feeing that same tug to join me.
Let Love Rise Vlog
The New Moon in Gemini is tomorrow night. It’s the perfect time to set an intention and kick off something that’s brand new. There’s an infusion of energy in the universe that is calling us to release what’s no longer serving us (lunar eclipse in Taurus) and to let go of the old in order to make room for something new. We’re being lead to do things differently; it’s calling us to upgrade the way we communicate and to be clear about our intentions. For the past few weeks, essentially since the total lunar eclipse on May 15, I’ve been hearing “YouTube” in the recesses of my mind, and it wasn’t until after the New Moon Sisterhood Circle last Thursday that I realized that my answer is right there in front of me: I need to evolve the way that I’m communicating. So with fear and courage and enthusiasm, I’m thrilled to announce the birth of my YouTube channel: Let Love Rise. Let me be the first to say with humility and gratitude that it’s super raw and still in the works, but I’d love for you to check it out and if you find the content valuable, please like and subscribe to my channel! 🙂
On my YouTube channel, you will be able to access the monthly musical playlists that I use for teaching the content of the Sisterhood of the Moon circles. Each playlist has what I call a “new moon” side and a “full moon” side– essentially, introspective music for soul reflection mixed with heart expanding rhythms for singing and dancing. The playlists are all good vibes and make for excellent companions on a road trip, a walk or cooking in the kitchen and can also be found on Spotify and Apple Music. Rock on!
I am also going to post moon phase video blogs, which will come out on the New Moon, First Quarter Moon, Full Moon and Third Quarter Moon each month. I’ve added the videos that I made for last month’s Goddess Series (they were my trial run) and I anticipate the upcoming vlogs to be similar, but really, I don’t know. I’m just going to lean in and trust that this is the next step for me. As always, your feedback is welcome and your participation in my latest creation is desired.
The Sacred Circle of the Artist’s Way
If you’ve been reading my latest blogs, you’ll know that three months ago I embarked on and adventure into the Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. It has unexpectedly lead me to the creation of the Sisterhood of the Moon and now it’s stirring my soul to breathe life into the book that I’ve been thinking about writing for the past year. Just to type those words is scary as hell, but I’m doing it anyways. The Artist’s Way has given me the courage to uncover my creativity, and this summer I’m seeking out a sacred circle of artists (or recovering artists) who’d like to work through this 12-week course with me. Is there something you’re wanting to create? Do you love to paint but never seem to have the time to dedicate to your art? Did you used to love to sing, draw, write, dance, act etc. when you were younger, but were told by those older than you that you needed to put aside your creative dreams for realistic ones? Is there an artist in you that hasn’t seen the light of day in a long, long time? Are you curious about what “a spiritual path to higher creativity” even means?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, I invite you to join me in this 12-week course. There will be a special section dedicated to the Artist’s Way on my Let Love Rise YouTube channel for anyone who is curious to know what’s involved. After watching the introductory video, if the ideas presented speak to you, I’ll be hosting the first sacred circle on Wednesday, June 8th in my home in Boise. If you’re not local but would like to dive into the Artist’s Way alongside me, you can follow along through the Let Love Rise channel and I encourage you to find a few local people to join you. Of course, you can do the entire course solo; that’s how I worked through it the first time. But I believe that there’s strength in numbers and power when we share our creative desires into a safe, sacred space of trusted co-creators.
Unwritten
I’m going to sign off with my chosen song for the New Moon in Gemini: Unwritten by Natasha Betingfield. Maybe you’ve heard it a thousand times before, but when was the last time that you really listened to the lyrics? They are so powerful, so encouraging, so demanding, so beautiful. Her words are my anthem as I venture into the unknown this lunar month. I encourage you to light a candle, grab your headphones and listen boldly to her lyrics. What comes up for you? Do you want to venture with me into the unknown? I’m strong enough to go alone, I know that now. But some company would sure be nice.
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield:
“Release your inhibition, feel the rain on your skin. No one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in. No one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips. Drench yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms wide open. Today is where your book begins. The rest is still unwritten”
Namaste
