Volume Two,  Lessons from the Road

Ho’oponopono & Impermanence

I’ve heard it said that the only constant is change. And yet, when change arrives on your doorstep, it is seldom a welcome guest. Why is that? Why do we have such a hard time with the impermanence of this life that we signed up for?

Ho’oponopono

In January of 2021 I was taught the simple, but powerful Ho’oponopono prayer while in the ER with my oldest son after a suicide attempt. During the subsequent years while he was away in a treatment program, I would mentally send him this prayer during sleepless nights. It has remained a powerful prayer for me ever since, something I will say to myself in those unexpected moments of change, when I don’t know what else to do.

I’m sorry

Please forgive me

Thank you

I love you

Mary and Mary

I found myself in one of those unexpected moments of needing to let go of an old wound a few weeks ago while in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadeloupe in Mexico City. Before I had a conscious thought about it, I was pulled onto my knees and the Ho’oponopono prayer came to me.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I kneeled before Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene. Here I was, fulfilling a post-divorce dream of leading an international retreat “The Equinox Experience: A Return to Balance“, and my heart was so full of joy. And yet, there was un unexplicable need to speak to the Marys and ask for their help to release another ounce of forgiveness in my healing heart.

While on my knees, I saw a vision of me and my ex-husband on our wedding day. We were facing each other in the outdoor gazebo where we exchanged vows nearly 25 years earlier, except in my vision, instead of saying my wedding vows to him, I repeated the Ho’oponopono prayer to him. Then I turned, and walked away, back up the aisle.

Forgivness & Soul Growth

I don’t know how many times I need to forgive my ex for not letting me know sooner about his unhappiness in our 20-year marriage. Nor how many times I have to forgive myself for giving away my divine power and my voice during our time together. I’m learning that forgiveness is a process, not a magic wand.

I’m also learning that it is only by allowing the change to take place that our souls evolve and move forward with a sense of peace rather than angst.

Looking at the card connections between me and my ex, it is clear that we had a soul contract that needed completion in this lifetime. I’ve written about our Sun-Moon Soulcode Connection in Coincidence, Karma and the Cards.

The pain of that loss has taken me years to recover from, and with this most recent episode of forgiveness, I think I’m almost there.

In her song “Everytime I Hear That Song” (which is featured in a post from 2021 called Forgiveness), Brandi Carlisle sings the lyrics “And I want to thank you for giving me what I’ve found because without you around I’ve been doing just fine.”

Tranformative Power of Pluto

Had we not divorced, I would not have been FREE to create the life that I am now living, one where I’m leading spiritual international retreats to ancient sights, and helping others understand their Soulcode Roadmap through the Magi Card Science System.

I’ve ridden the waves of change brought on by my great ending in love. I have found my inner joy as a result of courageously facing all the dragons that have shown up on my doorstep. An integral Key to our Soulcode is embedded in our lifetime Pluto card. For me, that’s the Nine of Hearts, indicating endings in love or the ways in which we love. This card demands that I search for the higher Universal Truth of unattached love in order to be truly at peace.

The Pluto card points us all in the direction of our necessary soul growth.

Reflective Mirrors and Two Docks

Other people are our reflective mirrors in life. Along with our life circumstances, relationships show us how we’re doing, how our healing is progressing, how much self love we allow ourselves to experience, how abundant our mindset is, how trusting we are in our self worth.

It’s been 4 years since my divorce was finalized, and along my road to healing with the 9 of Hearts as my soul growth guide, I have met many reflective mirrors.

Most recently I was dating someone with whom I have an incredible Triple Moon-Jupiter connection. The energetic flow between us has been so supportive, balanced, easy and fun.

However, my 4 of Spades happens to be his Pluto card for this year. Needless to say, our relationship quickly became too intense for him and he has asked to step away in order to face his dark night of the soul.

In turn, the hearbreaking and sudden loss of this beautiful connection is having me face my Pluto card once again. This time, I’m reaching for the high side of this “Divorce Card”, that of Universal Love. The loss that I’m grieving falls right in the midst of Eclipse Season, and I know that this painful nudge is a final clearing of my old unhealthy love patterns; I’m being called to complete the pattern of co-dependency, to release my Four of Spades/Taurean desire for stability over all else, to trust that what’s happening is happening for my best and highest good.

While at the lakehouse from which I write this post-eclipse reflection, I’ve been pondering the two docks on either side of this house. On the left, there is a wooden dock that broken and sinking into the waters. On the right, there is a strong and sturdy metal dock with a ski boat attached to it.

If relationships are reflective mirrors, I’ve been hanging out on the wrong dock.

I desire to meet a partner who will dance with me on a strong, sturdy dock and set off for a sunset ride in the boat. “Yeah, that is the direction that I’m headed” I’ve thought to myself these past few days.

And then, just this morning, I am literally watching that metal dock being dismantled for winter time. Impermanence. After two days of thinking “yes! I want to be on the metal dock” I sit here and watch it coming undone before my eyes.

Pluto directs us all to stop resisting. Start allowing. Flow with the changing times and with my partner’s needs. Detach from the concept of the dock. Allow the change of season to come. Bless and release the relationships that have served as stepping stones to love. The Nine of Hearts guides me forward.

Will my Triple Moon Jupiter connection circle back to me? I don’t know. There are indications in his cards that it’s possible. However, the MOST IMPORTANT CONNECTION OF ALL, even more powerful than a Triple Moon Jupiter connection, is the emotional availability of each partner. We can have all the best connections in the world (which he and I happen to have), but if we are both not equally available to give and receive in the harmonic balance of a healthy partnership, then the connections are futile.

I love you.

Graduate of Robert Lee Camp’s OOM Certification Program, May 2024

Although I still have moments where I unexpectedly fall to my knees in a wave of sorrow, I’m doing much better since I discovered the Magi Card Science System and started to rebuild a life that is aligned with my Soulcode Roadmap. The pain of heartbreak still hurts like hell, but at least now I know that endings in love are a part of my soul growth in this lifetime, and that writing and teaching are encoded components of my human experience. Just knowing that helps me to flow with the winds of change with a greater sense of ease.

It would be my joy and honor to help you to do the same; to guide you back on track of your Soulcode roadmap by understanding the encoded patterns that are there for you to grow into the person you were beYOUtifully designed to be. You are worth it!! The Magi Cards may be our roadmap, but the journey is ours and ours alone. How we play the cards is ours. How we use the energy (for our best and highest good) is ours. How we embrace and release others along the way is ours. How we flow with the impermance of life is ours.

If you’re feeling lost or broken hearted right now, take a deep breath. Listen to the two songs shared in this blog post that incorporate the Ho’oponopono Prayer. Then repeat the simple prayer to yourself over and over until you find a place of inner peace.

I’m sorry

Please forgive me

Thank you

I love you

Here’s to embracing change with arms of love, detached from any specific outcome, and allowing the Universe to work it’s magic in us, and through us!

Namaste
